Guidance available now
I help you understand what Home Assistant can do, what will work together and where automation will genuinely improve daily life. The result is a clear direction—not a sales-driven equipment list.
Guidance is currently free and remote while the practice is being established. No obligation, nothing to buy.
Active offer
Start with one question, an existing system or a whole-home idea. Advice is independent and focused on decisions you can understand.
Clarify the outcome, household routines, practical boundaries and the systems that matter most.
Review proposed or existing devices before committing to another ecosystem or isolated app.
Turn a routine into transparent triggers, conditions, actions, safeguards and recovery behaviour.
Understand why an installation feels unreliable, confusing or difficult to maintain.
How it works
No site visit is needed for guidance. Everything happens by video call, phone or email, and you keep the notes.
Use the enquiry form. Photos, screenshots or a device list help, but a plain description is enough. I reply within three business days.
Usually a 30–60 minute video or phone call, or a written exchange if you prefer. We go through the goal, what you already have and the constraints.
A short summary with options, trade-offs, suggested next steps and anything to check before you buy. Automation logic is written in plain language.
Topics we can explore
Plan behaviour that feels natural while keeping physical controls familiar.
Consider temperature, humidity, occupancy, windows and shading together.
Choose trustworthy measurements and identify which flexible loads are worth considering.
Plan door, garage, leak and safety notifications without pretending automation is a certified alarm system.
Future business roadmap
The long-term goal is to take a customer from the first idea through equipment selection, coordinated installation, Home Assistant commissioning and confident handover. These services will activate only when the business structure, trade partnerships, insurance, support process and service area are ready.
Curated, compatible devices selected against the approved design rather than sold as isolated gadgets.
Planned scope: sensors, controllers, hubs, networking and approved automation hardware.Physical installation coordinated with appropriately licensed electrical, security and HVAC professionals where regulated work is required.
Certified safety and protective systems remain independent and authoritative.Home Assistant configuration, device integration, dashboards, automation testing and documented fallback behaviour.
Every important routine will be tested for normal operation, failure and manual override.Household training, documentation, refinement after real use, health reviews and planned updates.
The goal is a system the household understands—not one it is afraid to touch.Questions
No. Many conversations start before anything is installed. If Home Assistant is a good fit, we plan how to start small. If it is not the right tool for your household, I will say so.
Yes, for now. I am establishing the practice and building a record of useful work. If that changes, it will be stated clearly on this site before you ask for help—never after.
No. There are no affiliate links, referral fees or preferred brands. Recommendations are based on compatibility, local control and long-term support.
Not at this stage. In Australia, fixed wiring—including in-wall switches, hard-wired relays and new circuits—must be done by a licensed electrician. I can help you prepare a clear brief for your electrician so the job is right the first time.
Usually not. Screenshots, exported automation YAML or a screen share are enough. Never send passwords, access tokens, alarm codes or door codes.
Guidance is remote, so anywhere in Australia. Advice takes Australian standards, products and energy arrangements into account.
Enquiries are stored on a server in my home, not with a form provider or marketing platform. See the privacy policy.
Clear boundaries
Current guidance does not include electrical, security, HVAC or other regulated installation work. When on-site services launch, that work will be completed or coordinated with appropriately licensed professionals.
